Myer's Cocktail IV

Though you may have heard it touted as a “hangover helper” in trendy magazines, the Myers Cocktail is so much more. This potent vitamin and mineral solution has been clinically proven to address a slew of deficiencies and dysfunctions – from dehydration to heart disease. It may also optimize your immune system to prevent them.

Innovated in the 1960s by Dr. John Myers and customized by Dr. Schertell and Dr. Mauss, this IV therapy nutrition is delivered directly into your bloodstream, bypassing your delicate digestive system.

Even if you eat a very healthy diet and take supplements, gastrointestinal issues can disrupt your absorption of crucial vitamins and minerals – no matter how many you consume. Over time, these disruptions can lead to conditions like SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth), IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), Celiac disease, and Crohn’s disease. If you’re taking vitamin capsules or pills for other conditions, your body simply can’t absorb oral nutrients as well as it absorbs IV delivered nutrients.

Myer's Cocktail Ingredients and Conditions They Address

When you first come in for your consultation with Dr. Schertell and Dr. Mauss the imbalances or dysfunctions your body needs to resolve will likely be in various stages of intensity – or maybe not even symptomatic yet.

Common conditions they treat with Myer’s Cocktail include:

  • migraines
  • allergies
  • asthma
  • chronic urticarial (hives)
  • upper respiratory tract infections
  • fibromyalgia
  • chronic fatigue syndrome
  • adrenal fatigue syndrome
  • hyperthyroidism
  • depression
  • cardiovascular disease
  • narcotic withdrawal

By delivering the potent, multi-tasking Myer’s Cocktail they may boost all of your functions through these ingredients:

Vitamin C

This antiviral, antibacterial antioxidant may help resolve a slew of infections, adrenal fatigue, autoimmune dysfunctions, heart disease, vein weakness, wounds and even cancer.

Because it prevents cell damage and fights free radicals, vitamin C enables growth and tissue repair in your skin, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, bones, and teeth and blood vessels. Your body is not able to make or store vitamin C on its own.

Calcium

This mineral may help resolve muscle cramping, twitching, urticaria, rashes, insect bites and hypersensitivity.

Almost all calcium is stored in bones and teeth, where it supports their structure. It also enables: your muscles to move, your nerves to carry messages to and from your brain, your vessels to transport blood, and your glands to release hormones.

Magnesium

This mineral controls 300 of your biochemical reactions, so supplementing may help: boost immunity, mitigate migraines, aid digestion, prevent inflammation, as well as regulate hypertension, pre-eclampsia, arrhythmias, muscle cramps, migraines and asthma. It may also alleviate fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and anxiety. Magnesium helps regulate blood sugar levels, energy metabolism and protein synthesis.

B Complex 100

All B vitamins help your body convert food (carbohydrates) into fuel (glucose), which is used to produce energy. B complex vitamins support healthy skin, hair, eyes, nervous system and liver cells. B-complex 100 includes: Thiamine (B1), Riboflavin (B2), Niacin (B3), Dexapenthanol (B5), and Pyridoxine (B6).

Vitamin B12

Because this water-soluble vitamin helps regulate the metabolism of every cell in your body it may help resolve: anemia, allergies, asthma, canker sores, atopic dermatitis, diabetic neuropathies, sciatica, fatigue, depression, insomnia, shingles and psoriasis.

Vitamin B6

Because vitamin B6 helps make neurotransmitters and hormones it may help alleviate: seizures, dyskinesias, dementia, depression, carpal tunnel syndrome, diabetic neuropathy, acne, dermatitis and asthma. Your body needs B6 in order to absorb vitamin B12.
