I've been sick for 20+ years. The last 10 have been spent in the bed. I've been to EVERY specialist there is in my area and Houston. They piled pills upon pills to treat my symptoms and labeled me with "fibromyalgia." I knew that was not the problem, but finally just accepted I would never get better. One day while sitting on my floor exhausted, crying, scrolling through Facebook, an ad popped up for Doctor Tenesha Wards.
She described me and my life and my symptoms completely and said there was an answer. For the first time, I had hope. I perused her website, watched more videos, and filled out the form to get help. I was sent papers to fill out with my symptoms and history. These forms asked questions no other doctor had ever asked!
She called me personally, and I was shocked. We talked for quite a while about my symptoms and what all had been tried. She said she had a very good idea of what is going on and asked if I were in her treatment program, would I follow it? I literally said, "If you tell me to eat dirt, I will eat dirt." And with that, I was in.
I received my box in the mail with testing kits and a journal, along with beginning supplements and instructions. I did my genetic test and my Lyme test and sent them back. My genetics showed why I've never been able to get well. She went over each horrible area with me and ended it with "But we can fix this!" My Lyme showed two strains positive. Even though I had been tested before, it wasn't done correctly. So, according to all of these results, I had a lot of work to do, but I would do anything she told me to do.
Over the next few months I began eating clean, avoided foods bad for me, took supplements to help my body where it didn't function correctly, and made serious lifestyle changes. By watching each section of the program, I learned about nutrition, how the body works, what it needs and doesn't, what stress had been doing to me, how to meditate it away, and how I would be living my life from the end of the program on.
Initially, I noticed becoming clear-headed after weeks into the program. I noticed I could complete sentences again. I can't reverse the damage done, but surprisingly enough, I could reverse the things I didn't know I could. My speech became better, my vision better, no more bruising or falling, and I started being more "able" than "unable."
I'm still in the last part of the program but I know my life has changed. I've undone 52 years of how I viewed everything, especially food. I only wish I had found Doctor Wards 20 or 30 years ago. Her book entitled "What to do When Your Doctor Gives up on You" says it all. Every doctor gave up on me. She still won't. We have weekly phone calls as a group with her. I have personal zoom calls with her. I can even text or call her personally and she always responds. If something isn't working, she studies my records and finds what does. She uses every natural method to fix my issues instead of piling pills on me. SHE TRULY CARES. I can't say that enough. She TRULY cares.
I'll miss this community after I complete this program, but hope I can find a way to give back by helping her. For she has given me the greatest gift in the world - hope for a new life, a real life, a healthy, functional life, along with the tools and knowledge to support my ongoing healing and health.
My hope is that anyone who has an invisible illness, misdiagnosis, or drawer full of pills, finds Doctor Wards and gets to the root of their symptoms, finding new health and happiness. She literally saved my life!

Dr. T is AWESOME!! I went to her for various issues, and so far everything is clearing up. i was having issues with sleeping, and now I'm sleeping throughout the night and even dreaming again! My stomach issues are clearing up, and I've even lost 14 lbs in 3 months when I couldn't even lose weight at all before. Her staff is so awesome and caring. I just can't say enough great things about the experience I've had with them. Thank you so much!! I have so much more confidence, and I've changed the way I eat without hating it. Dr. Wards' intuition and knowledge is amazing! She was able to uncover the true root cause of my illness after being misdiagnosed for at least 16 years. And it only took her a handful of visits. A true gift of a physician!

I just wanted to thank Dr. Wards for all she has done for me since I started her program. My digestion is working 100% better. I haven't felt this good in years. My anxiety, hot flashes, and stomach upset are gone. Additionally, I no longer have constant pain in my neck and shoulders. Also, I took her advise and moved my bed away from the wall with the circuit breaker on the opposite side and my sleep has improved. I feel like I've almost made a full recovery. I know I'm getting there by keeping up with the healthy new habits I've learned through her program.

I’ve started working with Dr. Wards two years into my health mess. I have a long list of issues Lyme, methylation issues, adrenal issues, hormonal issues, POTS, etc. After only a couple of visits with her I’ve seen a WORLD of improvement. She helped me sort out genetic methylation issues, even out my hormones, and calm my adrenals! I’ve been to several doctors and she’s been incredible. Very thankful to be working with her! Staff is great also
