Trained as a naturopathic primary care physician, Dr. Maiella enjoys visits with the entire family, including infants, children, adults of all ages and pregnant/postpartum mothers.
Her specialties include the treatment of Lyme disease and long standing infections. She begins by reminding her patients that their bodies are wise and capable of healing, given the right environment/opportunity. (The Vis Medicatrix Naturae). Together, Dr. Maiella and her patients create a plan that focuses on balance and restoration the body. This may include using a variety of natural plant-based anti-microbials/immune modulators, detoxification of heavy metals and toxins, dental health analysis, gastrointestinal healing and psycho-emotional-spiritual work.
Dr. Maiella uses Autonomic Response testing (ART), as part of a toolbox for guiding the treatments and diagnosis. Please read about this assessment tool here.
The use of ART helps to identify organ dysfunction, infection and toxicity as well as facilitate communication from the conscious, subconscious, and unconscious. With your permission, Dr. Maiella helps her patients to identify and resolve traumas/conflicts using psychokinesiology (PK), mental field therapy (MFT), color therapy, eye movements and generational genograms. You may be asked to dedicate a few visits just to focus on this work.
Your self reflection and inner work will synergize and strengthen all other suggested treatments.
Dr. Maiella loves living close to nature by growing organic vegetables and fruits, and being a graceful steward of the earth. She loves nurturing all things natural and wild, including (but not limited to) her bees and kids (humans and goats).
