This lab test can be purchased without a physician and drawn at a Quest Diagnostics location. A small draw fee of $ 8 will be applied at checkout. There are no other "hidden" fees unless noted on the lab test.
Certain lab tests may come back in the "normal" range. Reference ranges do not always mean "optimal." Patients may still experience symptoms in the "normal" range. It is important to speak with a qualified health practitioner regarding normal vs optimal.
Currently, NY, NJ, and RI state laws prohibit direct-access testing. This lab test cannot be conducted at lab locations within these states at this time.
Alpha-gal allergy is a food allergy to certain types of meat. Alpha-gal allergy can occur as a result from a tick bite and present itself as a wide array of symptoms which can be very serious.
